Wow! I really thought I'd be better at posting than this. Of course I do have a small excuse known as a MAJOR ice storm! On the last Monday in Jan. we got pounded with a huge ice storm here in our part of the world. We were without power from early Tuesday morning until late Friday afternoon. There are still hundreds without power and some people have been told it could be the last of March before their power will be restored. We were very blessed. We were only without electric for a few days and we had no damage to our house. We did have several tress that lost limbs and some that lost their tops. All of that can be cleaned up with time. We are just praising God that we had no damage to any buildings or vehicles.

Needless to say school was out for several days. We had a 4 day work week this week (it seemed like more). We are now looking at the possibility of losing our spring break. If that happens we will have a long spring semester. The worst part is that we are not out of the woods when it comes to missing days due to winter weather. We get some of our biggest snows in Feb. or March. Hopefully, if it decided to snow it will start on a Friday afternoon and be melted by Monday morning.

My little Pixie did a wonderful job of surviving the ice storm. She wasn't too sure why the T.V. was "broke" and she couldn't watch her movies. I think she did an exceptional job considering she's only two and her world had been turned upside down. Thankfully, she's an early to bed person anyway so it didn't really bother her that she had to go to bed when it got dark. She really enjoyed the part of getting to "stay" and Pa and Nana's. That was like a dream come true.

I just want to take a moment and say "thank you" to God... our Healer... for touching baby Harper. As of yesterday Harper is at home now and doing well. I know that Kelly (from Kelly's Korner) and Scott are thrilled to finally be home with their bundle of joy!

Until next time..... remember God is good.... all the time!
